03Age limit

18–42years

Maximum 37 years for General men, 40 for General women/BC/EBC, 42 for SC/ST; +5 years for regularly appointed Bihar Government servants (maximum 5 attempts), +10 years PwD, ex-servicemen 3 years + service (actual age not more than 57 on the application date). Age counted from the date of birth on the Matric certificate.

The Bihar Vidhan Sabha Sachivalaya, Patna has invited online applications for 5 Office Attendant posts (कार्यालय परिचारी) through a competitive examination (Advt. No. 02/2026) — Unreserved 1, ST 1, EBC 1, BC 2, with 3 posts for women under 35% horizontal reservation. The number of posts is provisional and may decrease or increase. This is a separate notification from the Junior Secretariat Assistant (Advt. 01/2026, 15 posts) — do not confuse the two; this post is for Office Attendant only.

Fee

The fee is Rs. 400 for EBC/BC/EWS/UR men of Bihar and all out-of-state candidates, and Rs. 100 for SC/ST and 40%+ disabled Bihar natives and all women Bihar natives. Payment is online only (Net Banking / Credit / Debit Card) and non-refundable. The notice advises SC/ST candidates who cannot later produce the certificate to pay the general fee to stay safe, as they may otherwise be declared ineligible.
