The Office of the Superintendent of Police, District Dantewada, has invited applications for 128 Bastar Fighter Constable posts — UR 7, OBC 17, SC 11 and ST 93 — open only to local residents of Dantewada district. Eligibility

Candidates need to have passed the 10th class from a school in Chhattisgarh or Madhya Pradesh; ST candidates and residents of Naxal-affected families or areas with a 5th class pass are also eligible. The age limit is 18-28 years as on 1 January 2026, with up to 5 years' relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Reservations include 10% for ex-servicemen, 30% for local women of Dantewada, 25% for nagar sainiks and 15% for sahayak arakshis. Physical standards: height 163 cm (UR/SC/OBC male), 150 cm (ST male), 153 cm (UR/SC/OBC female), 148 cm (ST female); chest 79 cm unexpanded / 84 cm expanded (ST 74/79 cm), with a minimum 5 cm expansion.

Selection

Selection is through a physical efficiency test (100 m and 800 m run, 20 marks out of 100), a written examination of 50 marks (objective), and an interview of 20 marks, plus bonus marks up to 30 (heavy driving licence 5, NCC 'C' certificate 5, NSS 'C' certificate 5, knowledge of the local dialect 20). Qualifying marks are 60% for UR and 50% for SC/ST/OBC.
