219 Assistant Professor posts at Delhi Technological University

Delhi Technological University (DTU) has invited online applications for 219 Assistant Professor posts under Advertisement No. 04/2026, dated 22 October 2026. The recruitment covers backlog vacancies and includes a special drive for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). Applications opened on 23 October 2026 and close on 7 December 2026 at 5:00 PM. Departments and reservation

The 219 posts are spread across 24 disciplines, with the largest numbers in Computer Science & Engineering (36), Civil Engineering (20), Production Engineering (20), Mechanical Engineering (18), Applied Physics (15), Automobile Engineering (12) and Applied Mathematics (11). Category-wise, the posts are UR 62, SC 27, ST 21, OBC 80 and EWS 29, with 17 posts earmarked for PwBD candidates under the special drive.

Eligibility, age and pay

Eligibility is discipline-specific and is governed by the Recruitment Rules linked in Annexure-II of the advertisement. For example, Applied Chemistry requires an M.Sc. in the relevant branch with 55% marks and a B.Sc. with Chemistry as a main subject. Candidates must check the Recruitment Rules for their own discipline before applying. There is no upper age limit for appointment as Assistant Professor. The pay is Level-10, with an entry pay of Rs. 57,700 per month.

Fee and corrigendum

The application fee is Rs. 2,000 for UR/OBC candidates and Rs. 1,000 for EWS/SC/ST candidates, payable online only and non-refundable; PwBD candidates are exempt.
