Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited has invited online applications for 13 posts under Advertisement No. GMRCL/HR/RECT/Nov-2026/29 dated 3 November 2026, on contract, deputation or post-superannuation basis, for a minimum of 3 years extendable up to 5 years on performance. The posts are for the Ahmedabad Metro Rail and Surat Metro Rail projects and their operations and maintenance.

Posts and pay

Deputy General Manager (Civil–Safety) 2 and Deputy General Manager (Civil–QA/QC) 1 — Rs. 70,000-2,00,000 (post-superannuation: consolidated Rs. 1,00,000 per month); Assistant Manager (Civil–Safety) 4 and Assistant Manager (Civil–QA/QC) 1 — Rs. 50,000-1,60,000; Section Engineer (Civil–Safety) 2 and Section Engineer (Civil–QA/QC) 1 — Rs. 40,000-1,40,000; Engineer, Senior Grade (Mechanical and Plant) 1 — Rs. 35,000-1,10,000; Engineer, Junior Grade (Signalling) 1 — Rs. 30,000-1,20,000.

Eligibility

DGM (Civil–Safety): graduate in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering plus a 1-year full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety, with 8 years of post-qualification executive experience in Government/PSU/Metro (6 years relevant) or 10 years in private (6 years relevant). DGM (Civil–QA/QC): B.E./B.Tech. Civil with 8 years of experience (6 years relevant). AM (Civil–Safety): same degree plus safety diploma, with 5 years in Government/PSU/Metro (4 years relevant) or 7 years in private. AM (Civil–QA/QC): B.E./B.Tech. Civil with QA/QC experience, 5 years (4 years relevant) or 7 years in private. Section Engineer (Civil–Safety): B.E./B.Tech. Civil/Mechanical/Electrical plus safety diploma, 4 years (3 years relevant) or 5 years in private. Section Engineer (Civil–QA/QC): B.E./B.Tech. Civil, 4 years (3 years relevant) or 5 years in private. Engineer, Senior Grade (M&P): B.E./B.Tech. Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communication/Power Electronics/Instrumentation, 3 years of relevant experience in tender/contract and mechanical and plant work in metro/railways. Engineer, Junior Grade (Signalling): B.E./B.Tech. Electrical/Electronics and Communication/Applied/Industrial Electronics/Power Electronics/Instrumentation, 2 years of signalling experience (CBTC/AFTC/PSD). DGM, AM and Section Engineer posts also carry current-pay-scale and CTC eligibility conditions (see the notification, page 4). Preference is given to candidates with experience in the same or immediate lower grade, and to those who have worked in Gujarat for 3 years or more and know Gujarati.

Age

Age as on 3 November 2026: DGM 45 years (contract), 57 years (deputation), 62 years (post-superannuation); Assistant Manager 35 years; Section Engineer and Engineer (Senior and Junior Grade) 32 years. No minimum age is stated in the notification. Age and experience are reckoned as on 3 November 2026.
