The Himachal Pradesh Home Guards and Civil Defence Department has advertised 1 Junior Office Assistant (IT) post as Job Trainee for Orthopedically Handicapped (OH) persons with benchmark disabilities, under Advertisement No. 2/2026, dated 29 September 2026. The last date of receiving applications is 31 October 2026 for non-tribal areas and 10 November 2026 for tribal areas, so the non-tribal deadline is today. Eligibility

Candidates must be bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh with a benchmark disability of at least 40% permanent disability, holding a Disability Certificate from the District Medical Board. The qualification is 10+2 from a recognised Board, or Matriculation with a one or two-year ITI Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology Enabled Sectors (ITES), or a three-year Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT from an AICTE-approved Polytechnic, plus computer typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi (with the stated exemptions for visually impaired and differently abled persons). The age limit is not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years as on the last date of receipt, with relaxation in the upper age limit up to 5 years per Government of HP instructions.

Pay, fee and selection

The post carries fixed monthly emoluments of Rs. 12,500 as Job Trainee, per the Job Trainee Policy of the Government. There is no application fee. Selection is purely on a 30-mark weightage: essential qualification 10, disability up to 6, additional qualification 4, plus other criteria.
