The Jharkhand State Horticulture Promotion Society (JSHPS), under the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Cooperative Department (Agriculture Division), Directorate of Horticulture, Government of Jharkhand, has invited applications for 637 contractual posts under Advertisement No. 01/2026. Deputy Directors Rs. 1,00,000; State Program Manager, State Manager-Finance & Admin and State MIS Officer Rs. 60,000; District Program Manager Rs. 50,000; Thematic Expert Rs. 45,000; State Technical Horticulture Officer and Documentation-cum-Knowledge Management Officer Rs. 40,000; Accountant (HQ) Rs. 35,000; Block Program Manager Rs. 35,000; Accountant (District) Rs. 30,000; Assistant-cum-data entry operator (HQ/District) Rs. 25,000; Assistant-cum-data entry operator (Block) Rs. 20,000. Most post sections also state a 5% performance-linked annual increment.

Eligibility and age

Post-wise: Deputy Directors need a PG in Horticulture/Agriculture or MBA in Agri Marketing/Agribusiness from an ICAR-recognised institution (Finance: qualified CA/Cost Accountant or MBA Finance, full-time) with 10 years' experience including 7 in a supervisory/managerial role, age 35–50. State Program Manager: PG (full-time 2 years) in Horticulture/Agriculture or MBA in Agriculture Marketing/Agribusiness (ICAR), 5–7 years' experience with district-level experience mandatory, 30–45. State Technical Horticulture Officer: Graduate in Horticulture/Agriculture (ICAR), PG desirable, 3 years, 30–40. State Manager-Finance & Admin: M.Com/CA (Inter)/MBA full-time 2 years, 2 years, 25–40. State MIS Officer: MCA/M.Sc (IT)/B.Tech (CSE), 5 years in a similar role, 30–45. Documentation-cum-Knowledge Management Officer: PG in Journalism/Mass Communication, 4 years, 30–45. Accountant (HQ): Graduate (full-time) in Commerce/Finance/Accounting, minimum First class/division, 3 years post-qualification, 30–45. Assistant-cum-data entry operator: Graduate (full-time) with ADCA or BCA/B.Sc (IT) full-time, 2 years (HQ/District) or 1 year (Block), 25–35. District Program Manager: PG in Horticulture/Agriculture, 5 years, prior block-level experience mandatory, 30–45. Thematic Expert: Graduate in Horticulture/Agriculture (ICAR), PG desirable, 3 years, prior block-level experience mandatory, 30–45. Accountant (District): PG (full-time) in Commerce/Finance & Accounting, minimum First class/division, 3 years, 30–45. Block Program Manager: Graduate in Agriculture/Horticulture (ICAR), PG desirable, 21–30. Age is calculated as on 4 December 2026.

Fee and selection

Fee (non-refundable): Rs. 500 for Unreserved/EBC/BC/EWS, Rs. 300 for Jharkhand SC/ST; PwD candidates with 40% or more disability are exempt. Selection is by a merit list through a written test and/or interview; a written test is held for District/Block Program Manager posts if applicants exceed five times the posts. Tie-break by age, then written-test marks, then alphabetical name. The waitlist is valid for one year.
