Eligibility

Assistant Town Planner: Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution, or equivalent Diploma in Civil Engineering (General) or Diploma in Civil Engineering (Draftsmanship). Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering; for the Greater Bengaluru Authority, a 3-year diploma in Civil / Landscape Architecture / Transportation Planning / Structural / Planning Engineering or equivalent, with preference for AUTOCAD training. Draftsman: Diploma in Civil Engineering from a government-recognised institution.

Fee and age

Fee, non-refundable, online only: Rs. 750 for General and Category 2A/2B/3A/3B; Rs. 500 for SC/ST, Category-1, ex-servicemen and third-gender candidates; Rs. 250 for persons with disabilities. Age: minimum 18 years on the last date for applications; maximum 40 years for General, 43 years for Category 2A/2B/3A/3B, and 45 years for SC/ST and Category-1.

Examination

Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be held in January 2027; the exact date and time are to be announced later. The Kannada language test will be held on 8 January 2027, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
