The Office of the Principal, Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College and Hospital (previously Cooch Behar Government Medical College and Hospital), Cooch Behar, has issued Memo No. MJNMC/Prin/2477/2026 dated 28 October 2026, titled "Notice for MBBS Housestaffship Selection". Documents required: (a) Madhyamik or equivalent certificate showing date of birth (age not to exceed 35 years as on the date printed in the notice); (b) all mark sheets of MBBS examinations; (c) chance certificate for MBBS examinations; (d) documents of Honours and Gold Medal, if any; (e) internship completion certificate; (f) Permanent Medical Registration Certificate (WBMC or MCI), or proof of application for permanent registration in a State Medical Council, or a self-declaration in the prescribed format. No vacancy number, stipend or pay amount, and no application fee are stated in the one-page notice.

Counselling: 4 November 2026 at 2:00 PM, with candidate reporting on 4 November 2026 at 11:00 AM, at the Conference Hall, Academic Building, Office of the Principal, Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College and Hospital, Vivekananda Street, Pilkhana, Cooch Behar-736101. Candidates must appear for counselling with all original documents, self-attested photocopies and two copies of passport-size recent colour photographs; after verification, only eligible candidates will be allowed for counselling.
