National Institute of Technology Srinagar has issued a notice (No. NITS/M-12/42/2026-C2/447, dated 29 October 2026, signed Registrar (I/C)) for a walk-in interview for Temporary Faculty Positions in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MMED): 02 vacancies. Walk-in date: 09 November 2026, Time: 10:00 AM, Venue: Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Applications to hodmmed@nitsri.ac.in. Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and M.E./M.Tech with Ph.D. (Direct Ph.D. after B.Tech also eligible; first class at Bachelor's and Master's level required). Terms

Engagement purely temporary for 11 months or till the regular faculty joins, whichever is earlier; selected candidate must enter an agreement; fixed remuneration Rs. 65,000 per month for active duty; join immediately and be physically present at the posting station; no accommodation at NIT Srinagar — candidates must make their own arrangements; canvassing in any form renders a candidate ineligible; Institute may select or reject without assigning reasons; engagement confers no right to claim continuous employment or permanency; Institute may defer or cancel the notice at any stage without reasons; Institute may increase or decrease advertised vacancies.
