About this fellowship

The National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, has invited applications for 1 Post Doctoral Fellow in Bharatiya Gyan Parampara (Indian Knowledge Systems). The candidate must hold a PhD degree in a relevant field such as Indian Philosophy, Ayurveda, Yoga, Sanskrit, Indian Literature, Science, or other disciplines related to Indian Knowledge Systems, with doctoral research focused on topics related to the Indian Knowledge System. Research experience in conducting advanced, high-quality research post-PhD, the ability to undertake independent or collaborative research projects in the domain, and demonstrated novelty and rigor in research work are required. Publications in reputed national and international journals, experience presenting at conferences and seminars on Indian traditional knowledge, and a strong command over topics related to Indian Knowledge Systems are expected. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a research team; interest in teaching or mentoring may be preferred but is not always mandatory; and an understanding of how to connect traditional knowledge with modern research approaches is required.

Age, fellowship and dates

The age limit is 35 years, with a five-year relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates, women and persons with disabilities, as per Government of India guidelines. The fellowship is Rs. 55,000 per month (consolidated) for candidates with awarded degrees, and Rs. 35,000 per month (consolidated) for candidates who have submitted the thesis but whose degree has not been awarded.
