The High Court of Orissa, Cuttack, has invited online applications from serving Judicial Officers for 30 posts of Civil Judge (Senior Division) through the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2026, under Advertisement No. 05 of 2026 dated 4 November 2026. Applications open on 9 November 2026 at 10:00 AM and close on 25 November 2026 at 11:59 PM, through the Examination Portal on the High Court website.

Who can apply

Only serving Judicial Officers. The officer must have completed three years of qualifying service as Civil Judge (Junior Division) as on 1 April 2026; the date of entry into judicial service as Civil Judge (Junior Division) counts. Eligibility is service-based; no age limit is stated in the advertisement.

Pay

Rs. 1,11,000 – Rs. 1,63,030 with usual dearness allowance and other allowances.

Selection

Written examination: Paper-1 (CPC, Personal Laws, Transfer of Property, Specific Relief, Limitation, Contract, Odisha land and survey laws) 100 marks and Paper-2 (CrPC/BNSS, IPC/BNS, Evidence/BSA, Food Safety, Essential Commodities, Environment, Water, Domestic Violence, Juvenile Justice, POCSO) 100 marks, 2 hours each; viva-voce 30 marks (minimum 50% aggregate in the written papers and 45% in each paper to be called); and evaluation of CCRs, PARs and ACRs 15 marks (3 preceding years). Final selection is on total marks, with a minimum of 40% in the viva-voce. Probation is under Rule-33 of the O.S.J.S. and O.J.S. Rules, 2007.
