Consultant posts for retired officials

Oulgaret Municipality, Puducherry, intends to engage officials retired from the Government of Puducherry as Consultants on contract, on a full-time basis, initially for six months: Consultant (Office Manager), 1 post, and Consultant (Store Keeper), 1 post. The notice is No.A/4078/Estt/OM/2026-27; its letterhead carries no filled-in date, and it is digitally signed by the Commissioner on 21 October 2026. Applications must reach the Commissioner, Oulgaret Municipality, on or before 31 October 2026.

Who can apply

Office Manager: retired government officials in the cadre of Superintendent, not exceeding 65 years, with a Graduate Degree from a recognised university, substantial professional experience in handling establishment and service matters in government departments, and the ability to independently examine establishment files, identify the applicable rules, prepare proposals and reports, and advise the section on procedural requirements.

Store Keeper: retired government officials in the cadre of Store Keeper (Gr-I), not exceeding 65 years, with a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from a recognised board or institution, and adequate practical experience and thorough knowledge of handling stores functions in government departments.

Terms of the engagement

The appointment is purely temporary, against the specific jobs, and can be cancelled at any time without assigning any reason. On selection, the official must execute an agreement in the prescribed form. The consultancy fee and other terms follow Finance Department OM No.46324/FD/F3/2026 dated 27 August 2026; the notice itself states no fee amount, and it mentions no application fee.

How to apply

Fill the application form in the Annexure to the notice, paste a recent passport-size photograph, and give service particulars (date of joining, date of retirement, post retired in, department or organisation, last pay drawn with a copy of the PPO), educational qualification, computer knowledge and experience, plus a declaration that the particulars are true and that the applicant was clear from the vigilance angle at retirement. Superscribe the envelope APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSULTANT and submit it to the Commissioner, Oulgaret Municipality, Jawahar Nagar, Puducherry-5, on or before 31 October 2026.
