The State Institute of Medical Education and Technology (SI-MET), Kerala, has invited applications for 9 teaching posts at SI-MET Nursing College, Tanur, in Malappuram district, under Notification No. B/333(2)/2026/SI-MET dated 3 November 2026. There are 2 Assistant Professor posts and 7 Lecturer posts, on contract for one year, renewable on satisfactory performance.

Posts and pay

Assistant Professor — 2 posts — consolidated pay Rs. 33,320 per month. Lecturer — 7 posts — consolidated pay Rs. 32,450 per month. The notification notes that the pay is likely to be enhanced. Appointments are non-transferable to other SI-MET colleges, and preference is given to candidates residing in Malappuram, Kozhikode and Palakkad districts.

Eligibility

Assistant Professor: M.Sc. Nursing with a total of 3 years of teaching experience after M.Sc. Nursing in a collegiate programme. Lecturer: M.Sc. Nursing. A valid Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC) registration is required. Candidates must attach proof of age, B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing degree certificates and mark lists, experience certificates and valid KNMC registration, plus caste or community and non-creamy layer certificates where applicable.

Age

The maximum age limit is 50 years, and up to 59 years for retired hands. No cut-off date for age is printed in the notification, and no minimum age is stated.
