About the Supreme Court JCA 2026 recruitment

The Registry of the Supreme Court of India has issued Advertisement No. F.3/2026-SC (RC), dated 15 October 2026, to prepare a panel for 130 tentative vacancies of Junior Court Attendant. It is a Group 'C' non-clerical post in Level 3 of the pay matrix, and the job is based at the Supreme Court in New Delhi. The Registry says the number of posts may change.

Who can apply: an unusual qualification rule

Most government jobs set only a minimum qualification. This one sets a minimum and a maximum:

  • You must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board.
  • Your highest qualification must be Class 12 (10+2). The advertisement lists Class XII as the maximum, so read the notification carefully before applying if you hold a higher degree.

Age must be between 18 and 27 years on 1 October 2026. The usual government relaxation applies to SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), persons with disabilities and ex-servicemen. Dependants of freedom fighters get up to five more years. Widows, divorced women and judicially separated women who have not remarried can apply up to 35 years (38 for OBC-NCL, 40 for SC/ST). There is no age relaxation for employees of other government departments, PSUs or banks.

Salary

Level 3 of the pay matrix: ₹21,700 to ₹69,100, starting at a basic pay of ₹21,700 plus allowances such as DA and HRA.
