The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has invited online applications for the Samiksha Adhikari / Sahayak Samiksha Adhikari Etc. (General / Special Recruitment) Examination-2026, commonly known as the UPPSC RO/ARO recruitment. (6), Samiksha Adhikari (Account) in the U.P. Secretariat (31), Sahayak Samiksha Adhikari in the U.P. Secretariat (261), Sahayak Samiksha Adhikari in the U.P. Public Service Commission (21), Sahayak Samiksha Adhikari in the Board of Revenue, U.P. (2), Sahayak Samiksha Adhikari in the Office of Advocate General, U.P. (45), and Manager, Care-Taker, Receptionist (Swagati) and Store Keeper in the U.P. Public Service Commission (1 each). The special recruitment posts are 6 Sahayak Samiksha Adhikari (Account) posts in the U.P. Secretariat. The posts carry pay scales from Level-5 (Rs. 29,200-64,700) to Level-8 (Rs. 47,600-1,51,100), depending on the post.

Eligibility

Candidates must have attained 21 years of age and must not have crossed 40 years on 1 July 2026, which the advertisement expresses as not having been born earlier than 2 July 1986 and not later than 1 July 2005. Physically handicapped candidates have a maximum age of 55 years, and SC/ST/OBC candidates of U.P., skilled players, state government employees and similar categories get 5 years additional upper age relaxation. Fee

For the preliminary examination, the fee is Rs. 125 for Unreserved, Economically Weaker Section and Other Backward Class candidates (Rs. 100 examination fee plus Rs. 25 online processing fee), Rs. 65 for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates (Rs. 40 plus Rs. 25), Rs. 25 for Persons with Disabilities (no examination fee plus Rs. 25 processing fee), and Rs. 65 for Ex-Servicemen. The main examination fee is separate and higher: Rs. 225 for Unreserved, EWS and OBC candidates and candidates of other states, Rs. 105 for SC/ST candidates of U.P., Rs. 25 for physically handicapped candidates of U.P., and Rs. 105 for Ex-Army personnel of U.P. Candidates should therefore budget for both stages, not only the preliminary fee.

Selection process

Selection is through a preliminary examination followed by a main written examination, as prescribed for this recruitment, with verification and medical examination stages as applicable. The preliminary examination date and admit card release date are not announced in the advertisement, so candidates should watch the UPPSC website for the examination schedule rather than relying on dates circulated elsewhere.

How to apply

Complete One Time Registration first, since the registration number is required before the application can be submitted, and reports of the process note that OTR should be completed well before applying. Then fill the online application on the UPPSC website for Advertisement A-4/E-1/2026, pay the preliminary examination fee online, and submit before 26 November 2026. The last date for fee reconciliation and for modifying the submitted application is 3 December 2026, so corrections should not be left until after that date.
