Coal India Management Trainee result out (GATE-2025)

Coal India Limited (CIL) has published the provisional selection list for Management Trainee (Mining) based on GATE-2025 score, against Advertisement No. 01/2026. Notice No. (GATE-2025) 27/2026 is dated 1 November 2026. All 276 vacancies are in the Mining discipline (Post Code 10) — UR 114, EWS 27, SC 41, ST 20, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) 74.

Provisionally selected: 276 candidates

Annexure-A lists 276 provisionally selected candidates in order of merit (Mining), each with an allocated subsidiary and a reporting date for Document Verification (DV) and Initial Medical Examination (IME): 17 November 2026 or 18 November 2026, 10:00 AM.

Important: this selection is provisional

The final Offer of Appointment is issued only after the candidate is declared successful in both DV and IME and completes the other formalities. A candidate who fails to report for DV, or fails to produce the required documents, is not allowed to appear for IME and the candidature stands cancelled immediately. A candidate declared 'Unfit for Employment' in IME is also cancelled.

The recruitment

Applications were 8 May to 7 June 2026 (closed). Eligibility: Degree in Mining Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST), regular full-time course, and a valid GATE-2025 score (Mining, paper code MN). Fee: Rs. 1,000 plus GST Rs. 180, totalling Rs. 1,180 for General/OBC/EWS; SC/ST and CIL employees exempt. Pay: E-1 Grade Rs. 60,000–1,80,000, initial basic Rs. 60,000 per month during training; confirmed as Officer (Mining) after 1-year training-cum-probation. Service agreement bond of Rs. 3 lakh plus GST for a minimum 60 months, with Rs. 5,000 per month deducted towards the bond.

Documents for DV

Provisionally selected candidates must report with originals plus two self-attested copies of each document, including the DV/IME email, identity card, the bond on Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper, attestation form and identity certificate (each in duplicate, countersigned by a Gazetted Officer), marriage declaration, 15 passport-size photographs, 10th and 12th certificates/marksheets, final degree and semester-wise marksheets, CGPA conversion certificate if applicable, caste/EWS certificates, NOC if employed, and the GATE-2025 score card.
