CDS (II) 2026 written result declared

The Union Public Service Commission declared the written result of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2026 on 19 October 2026. The exam was held on 13 September 2026. In total, 8,956 candidates have qualified to be interviewed by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence.

The result PDF has separate roll-number lists for each course:

Some candidates appear in more than one list, because they qualified for several courses. OTA (Women) is the exception.

What qualified candidates must do now

1. Army first choice (IMA/OTA): register on the Join Indian Army website to receive your SSB call-up. If you registered earlier, don't register again.
2. Navy and Air Force first choice: SSB call-up comes from the respective service headquarters. Check joinindiannavy.gov.in or the Air Force careers website and keep your email active.
3. Keep original certificates ready. Your candidature is provisional. Originals for age, educational qualification and NCC 'C' certificate (if claimed) must reach the service headquarters, not UPSC, by these dates:
   • IMA and INA: by 1 July 2027
   • AFA: by 13 May 2027
   • SSC (OTA) courses: by 1 October 2027
4. Change of address: inform Army, Naval or Air Headquarters directly.

Marks and cut-off

UPSC will publish mark sheets within 15 days of the final result of the OTA course (that is, after the SSB interviews). They stay online for 30 days. Until then only roll numbers are published.

Preparing for the SSB

SSB call-up letters usually come a few weeks to a few months after the written result, depending on your first choice and batch. Use the time to work on physical fitness, current affairs and speaking clearly about yourself, and keep your documents in order so that nothing delays your interview.
