The Main examination was held from 21 to 30 August 2026. The result is published as two PDFs — a roll-number-wise list and a name-wise list — carrying the roll numbers and names of 2,526 candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test (Interview) for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group A and Group B). Candidature is provisional

The candidature of the qualified candidates is provisional, subject to them being found eligible in all respects. They will have to produce the original certificates in support of their eligibility and reservation claims — age, educational qualifications, community, Economically Weaker Section, Person with Benchmark Disability and other documents such as the TA Form — at the time of the Personality Test. Candidates seeking reservation or relaxation benefits must produce original certificates issued by the closing date of the application for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026, that is, 27 February 2026.

Mandatory application-form update: 11 to 25 November 2026

All candidates who have qualified must log in to upsconline.nic.in and fill, update and finally submit the requisite application-form details between 11 November 2026 and 25 November 2026, till 6:00 PM. This covers educational qualification status (appearing or appeared) with proof of passing, correspondence and permanent address, higher educational qualification, achievements, employment details and service experience, details of service allocated on the basis of earlier Civil Services Examinations, marital status, PwBD recommendation details, parental details, debarment information, earlier examination details, attempt information, OBC or EWS annexure where applicable, the socio-economic questionnaire, service preference, home cadre and disclosure of details on the Pratibha Setu Portal, wherever applicable. Candidates who uploaded the required documents earlier and have nothing to update must also log in, verify the details and complete the final submission. If a candidate does not submit the form, no e-Summon Letter will be issued to them. On successful submission, a unique reference number will be generated and sent to the candidate by email and SMS.

The dates of the Personality Tests will be notified in due course. The interviews will be held at the office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069.
