UP Special TET Admit Card 2026

About this notice

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prayagraj, has issued a notice about the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET) under Advertisement No. 03/2026, which was published on 5 September 2026. The notice, dated 23 October 2026, gives three linked updates for candidates who applied under this advertisement: the examination date, the release of the examination district advance information, and the admit card download date. It is important to read all three together, because the district information is not the admit card.

Examination date and centres

The Special TET examination will be held on 3 November 2026 at six divisional headquarters in the state: Prayagraj, Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut and Agra. The examination is held in two shifts: the morning shift from 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon and the afternoon shift from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Examination district advance information

The advance information about the examination district for candidates who applied under this advertisement has been released on the Commission's website, upessc.up.gov, from 23 October 2026. Candidates can view their examination district advance information by going to the link available on the homepage of the Commission's website and entering the required details. This advance information tells you the district, but it is not a substitute for the admit card.

Admit card from 31 October 2026

The notice states clearly that the district advance information is not the admit card for the examination. The admit card can be downloaded through the same website from 31 October 2026. Candidates will not be allowed to appear in the examination without a valid admit card, so downloading the admit card before the examination date is essential, and the district information alone will not get you into the examination hall.
