DLSA Lakhisarai Para Legal Volunteer Recruitment 2026 — 100 posts

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Lakhisarai, has invited applications for the empanelment of 100 Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) under the Scheme for Para Legal Volunteers (Revised), through Vigyapan No. 01/2026 dated 4 November 2026. This is a fresh empanelment before the term of the 98 PLVs empanelled from 12 December 2025 to 11 December 2026 ends. Applications must reach the DLSA office by 21 November 2026, 5:00 PM, by registered post only.

Who can apply

The applicant must be a permanent resident of Lakhisarai district and must have passed Matric with good knowledge of writing English and Hindi. Age must be above 21 years as on 21 November 2026. Retired employees, self-help group workers, Anganwadi Sevikas, NGO workers, students, teachers, doctors and senior citizens may apply, and previously selected PLVs (except advocates) may apply again. Advocates are NOT eligible. There is no reservation of posts, but adequate representation of all classes is ensured under the NALSA scheme. The tenure is 1 year, extendable.

Please note: this is not a government job

Para Legal Volunteers work voluntarily, without profit. PLVs receive an honorarium of Rs. 750 per working day after evaluation of the work done, as per the directions of the Bihar State Legal Services Authority, Patna. This is an honorarium for voluntary service, not a salary and not appointment to a government job.

How to apply

Apply offline only, by registered post, to the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Civil Court Campus, Lakhisarai, PIN 811311. Send the prescribed form (Prapatra-Ka, page 3 of the notice) with self-attested copies of educational and qualification certificates, a copy of Aadhaar, and a self-addressed envelope bearing a Rs. 55 postage stamp for the interview letter. The interview will be held at the chamber of the Chairman or Secretary, DLSA Lakhisarai; bring original documents to the interview.
