2 Part-Time Medical Consultant posts at RBI, New Delhi

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has invited applications for 2 Part-Time Medical Consultants on a contractual basis for a panel for its dispensaries in New Delhi — 1 Unreserved and 1 EWS. The engagement is purely on a contract basis for 3 years, with no renewal. Applications in the prescribed format (Annex-III) must reach the RBI office in a sealed cover before 5:00 PM on 23 November 2026. There is no online application — this is a postal application only.

Eligibility

Candidates need an MBBS degree from a recognised university in the allopathic system of medicine (holders of a postgraduate degree in General Medicine may also apply), a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience practising allopathic medicine in a hospital or clinic as a Medical Practitioner, their own dispensary or residence within 30 km of the Bank's dispensary, and a valid Certificate of Registration from the Delhi Medical Council under the Delhi Medical Council Act, 1997.

Remuneration and duty hours

The remuneration is fixed hourly for the entire contract period: Rs. 1,600 per hour for an MBBS doctor with up to 20 years' experience, and Rs. 2,000 per hour for an MBBS doctor with more than 20 years' experience and for MD doctors. In addition, Rs. 1,000 per month is treated as conveyance out of the monthly remuneration, plus Rs. 1,000 per month as reimbursement of mobile charges. Duty hours are Monday to Saturday: Sarojini Nagar and Hauz Khas, New Delhi — 3:15 PM to 6:45 PM (Sarojini Nagar) and 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (Hauz Khas), 30 hours a week; and RBI Staff Colony, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi — 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, 21 hours a week. Selection is by interview.
