SBI Specialist Cadre Officers (AI Roles) — 6 posts, Fixed Term

The State Bank of India has invited online applications for 6 Specialist Cadre Officer posts on fixed-term employment basis under Advt. No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/30 — GM & Chief AI Officer, three Deputy General Managers (Risk and Operational Analytics; AI Governance and Compliance; Data Engineering, Model Application Dev and AI Ops), AI Solution Architect and Enterprise AI Architect. All 6 posts are UR, 1 each. Fixed term 3 years, renewable for a further 2 years (maximum 5 years). Posting in Mumbai or anywhere in India. Eligibility cut-off date 30 September 2026.

Posts on offer

• GM & Chief AI Officer (1): B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communication or equivalent, or M.Sc (Statistics/Computer Science)/MA (Statistics)/M.Stat/MCA; minimum 15+ years in Banking/BFSI/IT, including 3+ years in senior leadership in AI, Analytics, model oversight, governance and business transformation; age 40–55 years.
• DGM (Risk and Operational Analytics) (1): same degrees; minimum 10+ years, including 2+ years in senior leadership in the relevant area; age 35–50 years.
• DGM (AI Governance and Compliance) (1): same degrees; minimum 10+ years, including 2+ years in senior leadership in the relevant area; age 35–50 years.
• DGM (Data Engineering, Model Application Dev and AI Ops) (1): same degrees; minimum 10+ years, including 2+ years in senior leadership in the relevant area; age 35–50 years.
• AI Solution Architect (1): Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science/IT/Engineering/Data Science/AI or equivalent (also Business Administration/Management or a related discipline); minimum 8 years' overall experience, including 3 years in AI/analytics solutioning, digital transformation, technology consulting or solution architecture, preferably in BFSI; age 30–45 years.
• Enterprise AI Architect (1): Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science/IT/Engineering/Data Science/AI or equivalent; minimum 8 years' overall experience, including 3 years in enterprise/platform/data/AI architecture, preferably in BFSI; age 30–45 years.

Training/teaching experience is not counted.

Pay

Annual CTC upper range: GM Rs. 160.00 lacs, DGM Rs. 120.00 lacs, Architect Rs. 90.00 lacs. Fixed Pay 90% of CTC, Variable Pay 10%, annual increment band up to 5%. CTC is negotiable depending on experience and current emoluments. (Pay is annual CTC, so no monthly salary figure is shown.)

Fee

Application fee (non-refundable): Rs. 750 for General/EWS/OBC; nil for SC/ST/PwBD.

Selection

Shortlisting followed by interview (100 marks; qualifying 50% for General/EWS, 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
