Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has invited online applications for 660 Artisan posts under Advertisement No. 01/2026 (the advertisement itself is titled "BHEL Artisan Recruitment - 2027"): Fitter 278, Welder 104, Turner 52, Machinist 101, Electrician 90, Electronics Mechanic 23 and Foundryman 12. Online submission runs from 21 October 2026 (10:00 AM) to 18 November 2026 (11:45 PM), and the tentative examination date is 11 December 2026.

Fee

The total fee is Rs. 1,072 for UR/EWS/OBC candidates (Examination Fee Rs. 600 + Processing Fee Rs. 400 + GST) and Rs. 472 for SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen (Examination Fee Nil + Processing Fee Rs. 400 + GST), plus bank charges extra.

Eligibility, age and pay

Candidates need Class X plus a National Trade Certificate (NTC/ITI) and a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade, with minimum 60% marks (General and OBC) or 55% (SC and ST) in both NTC/ITI and NAC as on 01 October 2026, and must apply for one Manufacturing Unit and one Trade only. The upper age limit is 27 years for General/EWS as on 01 October 2026, with experience-based relaxation up to 7 years and further relaxations for SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years) and PwD (10/13/15 years), up to a maximum of 56 years including all relaxations. Selected candidates work as Temporary Artisan for one year at consolidated wages of Rs. 24,000 per month, then are regularised as Artisan Grade-IV in the scale of Rs. 29,500–65,000 with allowances. Selection is through a computer-based examination and a skill test. Applications are made only through the BHEL careers portal.
