The project

The post is for the project 'Targeting Lysosomal Cholesterol Sensing Membrane Transceptors for Therapeutic Intervention in Neurological Disorders', funded by ICMR. The duration is 11 months, extendable on the basis of performance and availability of funding.

Who can apply

Candidates need an MTech or MSc in any area of Life Sciences or Biotechnology with a minimum of 60% marks, and the degree must have been awarded. Desirable experience includes molecular cloning, work with model organisms (yeast or Drosophila), and bioinformatic analysis of large data sets. The age limit is 28 years, relaxed as per norms for SC/ST/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates; no relaxation quantum or cut-off date is printed, and no minimum age is stated in the notice. Only Indian nationals may apply.

Pay

The pay is Rs. 28,000 per month plus 30% HRA.

Selection is by shortlisting on academic records and experience, followed by an online interview. The interview date will be communicated by email to shortlisted candidates only.
