WCD Bastar Security Guard / Night Guard Recruitment 2026 — 2 posts (Female)

The Office of the Collector (Women and Child Development), Jagdalpur, District Bastar, Chhattisgarh, has invited applications for 2 posts of Security Guard / Night Guard (Female) at the Sakhi One Stop Centre, Jagdalpur, as individual service providers on contract, under Advertisement No. 1578 dated 29 October 2026. The engagement is through a walk-in interview on 18 November 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Office of the District Programme Officer, Women and Child Development Department, Jagdalpur. Applications in the prescribed format are to be submitted at the district office on the walk-in date.

Who can apply

Women only. The applicant must be a native of Chhattisgarh, and a domicile certificate from the competent authority is mandatory. The minimum qualification is 8th pass from a recognised board, with at least 2 years' experience as security personnel in a government or reputed organisation; retired military or para-military personnel are preferred. Knowledge of the local language is required. The Chhattisgarh Civil Services Conduct Rules 1965 apply.

Age and pay

Age as on 1 January 2026: minimum 21 years and maximum 35 years. With all relaxations under the state government instructions, the maximum age shall not exceed 45 years. Pay is Rs. 11,360 per month lump sum (Level-1), with no other allowances.

Selection

Selection is on merit of 80 marks — qualification percentage weightage up to 60 marks, extra experience beyond the minimum 2 marks per year up to 10 marks, and state women-helpline or One Stop Centre experience 2 marks per year up to 10 marks — plus a walk-in interview of 20 marks, in which knowledge of the local language or dialect is assessed. Candidates are shortlisted 1:10 per post from the merit list for the interview; in a tie, the older candidate is preferred. There is no relaxation in the essential educational qualification. The engagement is first for a maximum of 2 years, extendable 1 year at a time on performance; it is purely temporary and terminable with 1 month's notice or 1 month's pay. No TA or DA is paid for the interview. A medical fitness certificate within 1 month of selection, police verification and a confidentiality affidavit are mandatory. Appointment is subject to the Bilaspur High Court writ petition.
