The Office of Zila Panchayat, Surajpur (Chhattisgarh) has invited online applications for 10 Gram Panchayat Secretary posts (Advt. No. 1218/जि.पं./पंचा./स्था./2026-27 dated 15 October 2026) — UR 3, SC 1, ST 4, OBC 2, with 1 ST post reserved for women permanent residents of Surajpur district. The last date was originally 3 November 2026, but it was extended by one day to 4 November 2026 (11:59 PM) by press notice No. 1263 dated 3 November 2026, after the departmental portal had a technical fault on the nights of 30 and 31 October 2026. Eligibility, age and pay

Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary and hold a 1-year Diploma in Data Entry Operator / Programming from a recognised institution, and must be a permanent native resident of Surajpur district. Age: minimum 18 years complete, maximum 35 years as on 1 January 2026, with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/women as per Chhattisgarh Government rules. Pay is Rs. 3,500–11,000 + Grade Pay Rs. 1,100 + DA and other allowances. Probation is 3 years, extendable to 5 years.

Selection

Selection is on merit: Higher Secondary marks 50%, higher qualification up to 10 marks (Graduation 5 / Post-Graduation 5), computer skill test 25%, and Rojgar Sahayak experience 15 marks (3 marks per year, maximum 5 years, minimum 1 year 9 months). 10 candidates per post are called for the computer skill test: 15 minutes English typing + 15 minutes Hindi typing. Applications already submitted can be corrected on 9–10 November 2026.
