2,008 Act Apprentice slots in North Western Railway

Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway (RRC NWR), Jaipur, has invited online applications for Act Apprentice training under Engagement Notice No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA), dated 21 October 2026. This revised notice cancels the earlier notice dated 30 September 2026. Online applications opened on 23 October 2026 and close on 22 November 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Units and the totals note

The notice states 2,008 slots across the railway's units and workshops in Rajasthan — DRM Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur, B.T.C. Carriage and Loco at Ajmer, and the Carriage Workshops at Bikaner and Jodhpur. Please note a mismatch in the official notice itself: the unit-wise figures in Annexure-I add to 2,206, which is 198 more than the 2,008 slots stated in the notice. Eligibility, age and fee

Candidates need 10th pass (10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (no rounding off) from a recognised Board, plus a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT. Age is completed 15 years and not completed 24 years as on 22 November 2026, with relaxations for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen. The fee is Rs. 100 (non-refundable), except SC/ST, PwBD and Women candidates, who pay nothing. No fixed stipend amount is given in the notice — the training period and stipend are as per the extant rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time. No hostel accommodation is provided.

Selection

Selection is by a merit list on the simple average of the percentage of marks in Matriculation (minimum 50%) and ITI. Applications are online only, through the RRC Jaipur website.
