The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has invited online applications for 575 Senior Resident / Tutor posts in the Health Department, Government of Bihar, under Advertisement No. BCECEB/Health(SR)/2026(III)/01, dated 30 October 2026. The appointment is on tenure for 3 years. Online registration runs from 02 November 2026 to 23 November 2026 (10:00 pm), the last date for payment is 23 November 2026 (11:59 pm), and applications can be edited on 24 November 2026.

Fee, age and eligibility

The application fee is Rs. 2,250 for all listed categories (UR, EWS, EBC, BC, SC, ST and DQ/PwD) and is non-refundable. The age limit as on 01 August 2026 is 37 years for UR (Male), 40 years for UR (Female) and BC/EBC (male and female), and 42 years for SC/ST (male and female), with 5 years extra for Bihar Health Service cadre members and 10 years for Divyang candidates. Eligibility follows the NMC Medical Institutions (Qualification of Faculty) Regulation, 2025, and DNB and DNB Super Speciality are treated as valid qualifications.

Pay

Doctors appointed on tenure receive an honorarium of Rs. 1,15,000 per month. Bihar Health Service cadre doctors receive their existing pay matrix plus allowances instead. Applications are made on the BCECEB website through the "Apply for Senior Resident/Tutor" link.
