78 Surveyor posts in the Gujarat Forest Department

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has advertised 78 Surveyor (Class-3) posts under the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Gujarat (Forest and Environment Department), under Advertisement No. 411/2026-27, dated 30 October 2026. Online applications run from 30 October 2026 (14:00) to 20 November 2026 (23:59), and the examination fee can be paid by 23 November 2026 (23:59). The detailed advertisement (20 pages, in Gujarati) was reached through the official News list, since the GSSSB Advertisements page stayed unresponsive. Note that Advertisement No. 383/2025-26 is the previous cycle — its examination has already been held and selection lists were published on 23 and 30 October 2026 — and Advertisement No. 411/2026-27 is not a PwD special drive: the PDF states no posts are reserved for PwD in this advertisement.

Fee

The fee is Rs. 500 for Unreserved candidates and Rs. 400 for Reserved category candidates (women of all categories, S.E.B.C., SC, ST, EWS, PwD and Ex-Servicemen). The fee is refunded to candidates who appear for the examination.

Candidates need adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. There are minimum physical standards (male: height 163 cm, 155 cm for ST candidates; chest 79/84 cm; weight 50 kg; female: height 150 cm, 147 cm for ST candidates; weight 45 kg) and a walking test: men 25 km in 4 hours and women 14 km in 4 hours. The age limit is 18 to 33 years as on 20 November 2026, with the relaxations stated in the advertisement.
