NLC India Limited has invited online applications for 1,067 apprentice posts under Advertisement No. L&DC/04/2026: Trade Apprentices 700 (Fitter 125, Turner 45, Mechanic Motor Vehicle 110, Electrician 125, Wireman 110, Mechanic Diesel 5, Stenographer 20, Welder 120, COPA 30, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic 10) and Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentices 367 (Commerce 70, Business Administration 72, Computer Science 93, Computer Application 45, Geology 14, Micro Biology 5, Chemistry 26, Pharmacist Allopathy 3, Pharmacist Ayurveda 3, Nursing 36). Online applications opened on 21 October 2026 (10:00 AM) and the last date is 09 November 2026 (05:00 PM). The tentative display of selected candidates is 23 November 2026 for Trade and 02 December 2026 for Non-Engineering apprentices.

Eligibility

Trade Apprentices need an ITI pass in the respective trade. Graduate Apprentices need a regular full-time Bachelor's degree passed in 2022–2026. Candidates must be from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The minimum age is 18 years as per the Apprentices Act 1961, completed on or before 31 October 2026.

Stipend and fee

The stipend is Rs. 12,000 per month for ITI apprentices, Rs. 14,174 per month for Graduates (of which Rs. 6,150 is paid by the Government under DBT), and Rs. 16,678 per month for Pharmacist and Nursing apprentices (of which Rs. 6,150 is via DBT), for 12 months of training. No application fee is prescribed anywhere in the advertisement. Applications are made through the NLC apprentice portal, reached from Careers, then Trainees and Apprentices.
